What for the insurance to the tourist? Compulsory insurance

5 February 2008

It is not always possible to refuse insurance, especially if you are going abroad.
Some states, such as the USA, Japan and Schengen zone countries, will not grant a visa without medical insurance. And going to the States, Canada and Japan you will need the insurance, which will redress $50 thousand the least.
The visa to the European countries will be given only with the policy for a minimum €30 thousand.
For such countries as Vietnam and China, big sums are not required - there everything is cheap enough, therefore insurers offer policies with the sums of payments from $5 thousand to $15 thousand.

Benefit from such requirement favors to the traveler, rather than to local residents. If to speak simply, the insurance is a protection against contingencies connected to staying abroad. It is no secret that cost of services in some countries is much higher, than in others, and the insurance, at least, covers medical charges and transportation of the victim.
